RECAP: 2025 Fall Entry-Style CTF

The Netsoc team would like to thank all of the students and volunteers that attended Netsoc's annual Fall 2025 Entry-Style CTF! This year we had a turnout of over 100 students, presenting them with a variety of challenges such as the LLM prompt-engineering challenge which required students to trick an AI based off of Bitsoc's very President, Tommy Michailidis, into giving them the credentials to his fake LinkedIn account! We also had challenges surrounding Windows XP, role-based-access-control, and challenges with actual physical networking equipment where students had to reconfigure the VLANs and learn how to fix a failed DHCP server! To bide the time for the massive turnout of students that weren't participating in any challenges, we set up a Kahoot trivia to test their knowledge and gave them prizes as a reward for their understanding of fundamental computer networking & cybersecurity related concepts! All in all, this was a fun, entertaining, and engaging event, and we hope to see an even better turnout for the upcoming events that Netsoc has in store!
